We have received another very generous donation from the Berkshire Community Fund of £1,500 which will go a long way towards helping implement the hardstanding paths (as part of Hannah Genders garden design) we require to help enable wheelchair users and those of limited mobility to have easier access to the garden.
Andrew Scarborough and his colleagues at Bottomline Technologies recently raised nearly £1,000 for Ridgeline with their "Bike to Work" week and we are very pleased that they are on the fundraising trial again with a sponsored swim, covering the equivalent of the English Channel in distance at the site of the Reading Lake Hotel in Pingewood. We hope Ridgeline followers will support their cause by donating and you can read more in the local newspaper story here
If you can support the campaign, please send us an email with a pledge amount and whether you will be happy to sign a Gift Aid declaration.
A sincere thanks to Thames Water for their kind donation of £316 for Ridgeline. One of our Trustees, Graham Johnson, received the cheque above!
Another reminder that our Harvest Fete is coming upon us and it is a time to celebrate the end of the growing season at the Ridgeline garden, to show off what we have achieved and to sell off some of our produce together with a range of fun activities.
We now need:
* Plant donations to sell at the Fete. You can deliver to the garden 11am - 1pm on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, or leave at the garden gate anytime.
* We require volunteers for the day for various activities
* We require volunteers to do some flyering in the weeks leading up to the event
Please drop us an email response or contact one of the Trustees in person if you are able to help!
